At Benton Tech, we know your world has been struck with uncertainty and fear. Ours has too, but we want to let you know that through anything, our team is here for you. We are open for business and are still knocking out projects and supporting our clients daily. On-Site Protocol Changes & Virtual Help Desk

As our daily lives are changing, updated protocols for the safety of our staff is needed. For onsite visits, we are only going when staff is not present and are taking precautions as needed. If you have an issue that requires an onsite visit from our team, we will be reaching out beforehand to establish some precautions to ensure the safety of our techs (such as ensuring that gloves or a mask are provided if needed depending on your environment). Many of our support measures can be done remotely through our virtual help desk, however, so reach out to us and we’ll discuss the best course of action for your business. 

Work From Home Tips

If your office is one of the many that is now working from home, we want to make sure that your staff is set up for success. Here are a few tips to help protect yourself from any data security risk:

  • Use strong and long passwords that will not be easily guessed
  • Set up a VPN with encryption
  • Be wary of phishing emails
  • Make sure that software is updated
  • Avoid public Wi-Fi

Tips For Cleaning Your Electronics

Electronics are some of the dirtiest things that we handle constantly. Make sure you’re wiping down your mobile phone, desk phone and keyboard with a (damp, not soaked) disinfecting wipe often. You should also wipe or spray (with a disinfectant spray) your desk chair, door and desk handles and desk surface daily.
